It was great to see the story in the LAT about how Dana Point is going to solve the issue on PCH with the bike paths vs. the cars. Two deaths and two permanently injured is too much.
I attended all the June meetings at the City Council and I didn't hear a word about this issue, so regardless of how it came about, it is a good decision.
The questions is now, how quickly can it get done. I began discussing this solution in April after Carol and Stacy were hit.
We cannot afford another tragic accident.
Cudo's to the City Council on this one.

Hey G.,
did you catch the pathetic news coverage on channel 2? steve lopez asks.. more than once.. if the road should be shut down due to cyclists to.. i guess.. make room for more drunk drivers. here's the link.

it's a strange mindset that cyclists are the offending party when they are laid up in hospital beds and coffins.

To the OC restaurants: A very small violin. There are a lot of laws that are "inconvenient" and make life difficult for small business owners.
Let's not go around picking and choosing the ones we like.
We shuld also be going after construction companies. That one's simpler: lift the license.
