OC Judgeship For Jim Rogan?

Jimrogan I've heard from a reliable source that former Congressman Jim Rogan is close to being appointed to an Orange County Superior Court Judgeship.

It will be terrific to have Jim on the bench here in OC. It'll be sort of a back-to-the-future move for Rogan, who served as a judge on the LA County Superior Court from 1990to 1994. He's one of the most respected and admired figures in California politics.

I'll keep you posted as I learn more.

Rogan is an amazing individual, our government will be well served having him on the bench once again. It was a tragedy what the Clintons and the DNC did to him in 2000, it's good too see him continue his inspirational life story. He is shining example of everything that is right with American Politics.

This is actually a little sad.

Jim, apparently, has had a hard time finding himself since he involuntarily left Congress in 2001. He spent a few years in the Bush Administration (dealing with patents, or some such thing) and lately has been practicing law, first in DC and now here in California.

If he wants to go back on the bench, I would think that he would hold out for a Federal judgeship. Or, if the state courts were the only options available, then the Court of Appeal or higher.

Rogan's name is gold in Republican politics. He wrote a book and is a huge draw amongst GOP groups and business forums. He is hardly "finding himself" he is in large demand and still considered a hero for defending our Constitution.

It is highly unlikely that Rogan would get a federal judgeship as long as the White House and the Senate Majority continue to allow home state U.S. Senators to block federal judicial appointments.
