Santa Ana Police Chief Paul Walters Endorses Carlos Bustamante

The Carlos Bustamante for Supervisor campaign announced Santa Ana Police Chief Paul Walters has endorsed Bustamante in the Feb. 6 special election.

"Chief Paul Walters is a highly respected law enforcement professional in Orange County and his endorsement will help solidify Carlos' growing political base in this race," said Bustamante's campaign consultant John Lewis. "It will be especially effective in convincing undecided voters in Santa Ana to support Carlos.

"Clearly Carlos Bustamante has tremendous momentum building in this campaign, and Chief Walters' endorsement is just another example of that momentum," Lewis continued. "Carlos' growing endorsements, along with his fundraising momentum, is outfitting him in an excellent position to win this race."

[F-Troop/Lopers/18th St Gangs endorse Carlos?]

With Gang killings in Santa Ana at an all time high it seems the groups with the most power in that city are the street gangs. Every day there is another killing. Carlos should try to get endorsements from F-Troop, Santa Nita, Logan, 18th St., Lopers, and any other street gangs who are willing to sign on. Maybe they will walk presincts for him to counter Umberg's labor fources. The gangs are more in control of the streets of Santa Ana right now than Paul Walters!

I have not seen her listed on any of his mail and do not believe this to be a true statement.

The same Paul Walters that endorsed Mike 'Corleon' Carona?? Sorry Paul but a lot of folks lost all respect for you with that endorsement.

Walters endorsed Carona because Carona hired Walters' son as a deputy, who is currently assigned to the courts. Most brand new deputies start in the jails on alternate shifts. Not the courts with 2 hour lunches, weekends and holidays off.

Police Chief Paul Walters' endorsement is a good one. They would not be protesting so much if it wasn't. Ask any of them if they would take his endorsment if he offered it.

Who cares? Carona looked like an ass this week when he tried to demote Hunt. His endorsement is a negative if you ask me.
