Day 2 Of Nguyen V. Nguyen Is Over...

...and I think this is going to go through Monday.

Judge Michael Brenner is going to hear arguments on all the ballots being introduced into this case -- there are 38, believe, selected by the Trung Nguyen campaign. 21 of them (again, correct me if I am wrong) being Trung votes that were tossed out and Team Trung wants counted, and 18 Janet Nguyen votes that were counted but which Team Trung wants tossed.

Judging from the schedule laid out by Judge Brenner at the end of the day, he'll probably get to hearing the arguments on the various ballots on Monday -- or maybe tomorrow afternoon at the absolute earliest.

I think there's a definite possibility this will not be completed in time to swear in a Supervisor Nguyen on Tuesday, March 27. And as the astute Peggy Lowe pointed out to me at the end of today's session, the Board of Supervisors is dark for two weeks after this Tuesday.

Judge Brenner will be using the same guidelines at Registrar of Voters Neal Kelley, but that he could still, as he said today, reach a different factual conclusion.

Stay tuned for some video.

Will Trung overturn the election again. What does everyone think?

I think that one Nguyen or the other Nguyen will win! Sorry, could not pass it up....probably should have. In all seriousness, I have given up predicting this election...too much crazy stuff that was impossible has happened.

Flowerszzzz,

you should drop by my house. Saying "it's a nguyen-nguyen situation" had 'em in stitches last week...But then, my kids are easily amused.
