AD71 Watch: Corona Mayor Pro Tem Jeff Miller Raises $45,000 At Anaheim Fundraiser

This just came over the transom from the Jeff Miller for Assembly campaign:

Jeff Miller adds more Money and Endorsements in AD 71 Race

(ORANGE COUNTY, CA)   Assembly Republican candidate Jeff Miller raised another $45,000 last night at a fundraiser held at Angel Stadium in Anaheim during the Angels game against the Tampa Bay Devil Rays.  Miller also announced endorsements from Republican Senator George Runner, Republican Senator Bob Dutton and Republican Senator Jim Battin.

“Jeff’s fundraising has been phenomenal,” said his campaign consultant Dave Gilliard.   “To be doing this well so early in the race is really extraordinary. Even better is the fact that the vast majority of the money Jeff has raised has come from Orange County donors. He has not yet tapped into his Riverside donor base. He will have no problem meeting, and likely exceeding, the campaign budget we set for him.”

Jeff Miller is the Chairman of the Republican Party of Riverside and a Corona City Councilman and former Mayor. He is a successful businessman with family businesses in both Orange and Riverside counties for over twenty years. A strong conservative, Miller believes in lower taxes, free markets and less government intrusion into the economy. He is widely recognized as an innovative leader on transportation issues, having found ways to improve the 91 and other local freeways using existing revenue.

Miller is running in the 71st District, which includes parts of eastern Orange County and a fast-growing section of Riverside County. The district is currently represented by Assemblyman Todd Spitzer who is not running for reelection due to term limits.
