Board Of Supervisors OK Civilian Review Board

Peggy Lowe reports at Total Buzz the Board of Supes approved Sup. John Moorlach's proposal for creating a civilian review board for the Sheriff's Department.

Way to go John Moorlach!!!

Finally someone with some back bone has put Sheriff Carona in check. Hopefully this is the beginning of the end for Carona now that the lovefest is over with the OCGOP.

Get used to it Sheriff, your days of blank check writing are over. The voters of Orange County can't be rid of you and your poor leadership soon enough!

The Sheriff is right when he says this shows a distrust of his Department and his management. Ultimately the Sheriff is the reason for the distrust. The Supes' must restore some control and dignity to the department. I hope this will begin repairing the reputation of the hard working officers in the jails and on the streets. Also I hope this helps to root out those who tarnish the image of OC Sheriff's.
